AIG Instruments performs Georadar services, refraction and ReMi surveys for the optimization of the pavement structures, drains and emergency structures in the La Guaira airport.

AIG instruments becomes pioneer in the non invasive geophysical methods data integration, using GPR and refraction surveys for the optimization of the pavement structures in the La Guaira airport. The aim of using the GPR is to detect the utility and buried object existence, objects that could interfere with the civil works in site. Two antennas were used to improve the study depth, a 400 mHz antenna (for shallow strata) and a 100 mHz antenna (for deep strata). In the other hand, the REMI test is a high tech method which helps to obtain S wave velocity using the ambient noise. With this method the S wave velocity distribution can be determined, this implies the spectral analysis of the natural vibration of the terrain, due to the site properties (urban ambient, high noise) this test is suitable for the airport soil study.
