AIG Instrumentos performs pile integrity test for the Deep Conversion Project at the Puerto La Cruz Oil Refinery.

Through the use of Sonic Tests, AIG-Instrumentos did pile integrity test known as Echo Test, through the PET Test based on the ASTM D 5882 norm for Sonic Tests, during the month of September, 2016.

The Foundation Piles located at the refinery of Puerto la Cruz, serve as foundations for the treatment plants and aerial pipes of the refinery.

The Sonic method used by AIG-Instrumentos is one of the most complete and advance on the market, since it has the ability to determine the existance of failures as: hangings, soil insertions, wastes at the top of foundation pile and the homogeneity of the concrete accross it. AIG Instrumentos has been pioneer employing this technology in Venezuela and the results have been satisfactory on the projects where it has been used.
